Wargrave Youth Theatre are proud to present for the 2024 Wargrave Festival a musical production about the GOLDEN years of Shakespeare.

Aubrey, The Rough Shakespeare Company’s pretentious director, obtains what appears to be William Shakespeare’s lost diary. Along with his down-to-earth assistant, the pair decide to embark on an exclusive adaptation of the flamboyant Bard’s personal journal.

‘Shakespeare Rocks!’ is a fresh, funny and up-to-date look at the life and times of William Shakespeare, with a cast of hilarious historical characters, amusing glimpses into some of his works and how he came ‘To Be’. Spread the word… Shakespeare didn’t just write… he rocked!

Performances of Shakespeare Rocks! written by Steve Titford and directed by Chez Annetts, will be on Friday 14th June at 6pm and Saturday 15th at 3pm on the Shakespeare stage at Mill Green, Station Road, Wargrave, RG10 8EU.

Tickets will be £8 for adults and £5 for children and can be booked on Wargrave Festival Ticket day from 9am on Saturday 20th April at the Scout Hut, Recreation Road, Wargrave RG10 8BG or subsequently online from the Wargrave Theatre box office, Ticketsource 0333 666 3366, or the Festival website.
